Production Driver

Part-time

Position Summary: Serve as a Role Model for peers and participants by presenting effective work habits and performance according to established standards through the following duties.

Essential Duties:

  • Work with employees to ensure quality delivery product/service in a timely and efficient manner according to Customer and assigned Supervisor’s directives and specifications.
  • Maintain a neat and organized warehouse
  • Exercise a flexible/positive approach and attitude toward scheduling.
  • Monitor environment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records as assigned to meet department and customer requirements.
  • Provide operational recommendations, concerns, crew/line or customer information and communications to FS Plant & Logistics Manager/Designee.
  • Use/operate industrial and material handling equipment, including forklift, cardboard compactor, machines and tooling.
  • Drive agency vehicles as required by customer demands and production schedules.
  • Continually adhere to agency policy, work-place rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Serve as a role model and present a positive image to agency personnel and customers.
  • Participate in agency committees as available and directed by Supervisor/Designee.
  • Participate in personal development of work skills and knowledge.
  • Be flexible with start and finish times.

Qualifications:

Professional Skills and Abilities: Ability to supervise and motivate employees. Knowledge of and motivation to achieve customer fulfillment and expectations. Ability to problem solve and act in the absence of detailed instructions. Knowledge and ability to use/operate industrial and material handling equipment, including forklift, cardboard compactor, machines and tooling. Interpersonal and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to consistently perform at 100% of norm or better.

Education & Training: High School diploma or equivalent required. Willingness to work in a variety of employment settings and locations preferred. Previous industrial experience preferred. Bi-lingual communication skills desired.

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to balance, crouch, bend, stoop, crawl, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, stand and sit.
  • Ability to reach overhead and front, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 300 pounds.
  • Ability to independently and spontaneously travel to various locations.
  • Have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and good driving record.
  • If using own car, adequate auto insurance.

Other Duties: Carry out other job-related duties assigned.

Measures of Success:

  • Maintain accountability and professionally communicate with participant employees, staff and internal and external customers.
  • Adherence to, and retention of agency policy, work-place rules, regulations and stand operating procedures.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Safe driving record.
