Protect the employment/service choices of persons with disabilities

Tell our elected leaders to protect the choices of persons with disabilities (along with their families/caretakers) to select the employment opportunities and services that best meet their needs, abilities, and goals. Share that you are concerned about the growing call for Wisconsin to adopt an Employment First policy for people with disabilities, without recognizing there are other valid employment options.

Tell our leaders you're worried about the disturbing trend for adults with disabilities who have worked for years in center-based programs but now face ultimatums from Managed Care Organizations to get community-based jobs by a certain date or lose their prevocational services.

Like all workers, people with disabilities have a wide range of skills and talents and should have the right to choose what they do and where they do it, consistent with their needs, abilities, and preferences.
